Math, asked by Bhumika2003, 1 year ago

if (a+b)=6 & (a-b)=4; find:- (i) ab

Ravidhankhar: A+B=6–———-(1)

A-B=4–———-(2)

Add both the equations..

A+B=6

A-B=4

2A =10

There fore, A =5

Substituting value of A in any of the two equations…

Here we substitute in (2)

So, -B =4-A

Therefore,B=1

AB =(5)(1)=5

Hope it helped u get the solution

a+b=6
a-b=4
adding
2(a)=10
a=5
similarly
b=1
=> ab=5
