Answer:

A+B = 6i+7j ............(i)

A-B = 3i+4j ............(ii)

On subtracting eq. (i) & (ii) -

2B = 3i+3j

2B = 3 (i+j)

B = 3(i+j) / 2

B = 3/2i + 3/2j

|B| = √[(3/2)^2 + (3/2)^2]

|B| = √(9/4 + 9/4)

|B| = √(9/2)

|B| = 3/√2

Hope this helps you....

sanju3917: but ans is 5

Anonymous: check it
myra72: no mate... i have subtracted eq(ii) from eq(i)
myra72: then.. B is +ve

Answer:

2.121320343559

Explanation:

A-B = 6i+7j

A+B = 3i+4j

solving them we get A = 9/2 (i) + 11/2 (j) and B = -1.5(i) - 1.5(j)

B = -1.5i-1.5j

|B| = √ (-1.5)^2 + (-1.5)^2

|B| = √ 2.25 + 2.25

|B| = √ 4.5

|B| = 2.121320343559

hope this helps u......
