If a+b=7 and ab =12 find the value of a2 +b2

\huge\tt{\bold{\underline{\underline{Answer᎓}}}}

 =  > a + b = 7

 =  > a = 7 - b.....(1)

put a's value in another equation

 =  > ab = 12

 =  > (7 - b)b = 12

 =  > 7b -  {b}^{2}  - 12 = 0

 =  >  -  {b}^{2}  + 7b - 12 = 0

=>taking - common

 =  >  {b}^{2}  - 7b + 12 = 0

 =  >  {b}^{2}  - 4b - 3b + 12 = 0

 =  > b(b - 4) - 3(b - 4) = 0

 =  > (b - 3)(b - 4) = 0

\bold{\red{  =  > b = 3,4}}

Take any one value :-

I take b=3; now put the value of b in Equation1

 =  > a = 7 - b

\bold{\red{ =  > a = 7 - 3 = 4}}

 =  >  {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}  =  {4}^{2}  +  {3}^{2}  = 16 + 9

 = 25
