a - b = 8

ab = 40.25

(a - b)^2 = 8^2

a^2 + b^2 - 2ab = 64

a^2 + b^2 = 64 + 2ab

a^2 + b^2 = 64 + 2(40.25)

a^2 + b^2 = 64 + 80.5

a^2 + b^2 = 144.5

(a + b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 + 2ab

(a + b)^2 = 144.5 + 80.5

(a + b)^2 = 225

a + b = 15

(a + b) (a - b)

15 × 8

120

Therefore, answer is 120

Hope this helps you :)
