If a+b=8 and ab=6. Find the value of a^3+b^3​

a + b = 6

⇒ (a + b)3 = (6)3

⇒ a3 + b3 +3ab (a+b) = 216

⇒ a3 + b3 + 3 × 8 (6) = 216

⇒ a3 + b3 + 144 = 216

⇒ a3 + b3 = 216 – 144

⇒ a3 + b3 = 72

Alternative Method

(a + b)3 = a3 + b3 + 3ab (a + b)

⇒ (6)3 = a3 + b3 + 3 × 8 (6)

⇒ 216 = a3 + b3 + 144

⇒ 216 -144 = a3 + b3
