if a+b=9 ; a-b=5. find a2-b2?​

( {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2} ) = (a + b)(a - b)

( {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2} ) = 9 \times 5 \\  ( {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2} )= 45

a + b = 9 \:  \: and \:  \: a - b = 5

Since,

 {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2}  = (a + b)(a - b)

So,

 {a}^{2}  -   {b}^{2}  = 9 \times 5 = 45
