Option b

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

A, B and C are denoting mean, median and mode of some data and A : C = 10 : 7

To find :-

Find the ratio of B:A ?

Solution:-

Let mean of the data = A

Let median of the data = B

Let the mode of the data = C

We know that

The relationship among the mean,median and mode of the data is

Mode = 3 Median - 2 Mean

C = 3B -2A-----(1)

Given that

A:C = 10:7

A/C = 10/7

On applying cross multiplication then

=> 7A = 10C

On Substituting the value of C then

=> 7A = 10(3B-2A)

=> 7A = 10×3B -10×2A

=> 7A = 30 B -20A

=>7A +20A = 30 B

=> 27 A = 30 B

=> 27 = 30 B/A

=> 27/30 = B/A

=> 9/10 = B/A

=> B/ A = 9/10

=> B:A = 9:10

Answer:-

The ratio B:A for the given problem is 9:10

Used formulae:-

  • a:b can be written as a/b

  • Mode = 3 Median - 2 Mean
