If a, b and c are in A.P show that :
1. 4a , 4b , 4c are in A.P
2. a+4 , b+4 and c+4 are in AP​

B be x+d and

C be x+2d.

1)4a,4b,4c

4×x,4×x+d,4×x+2d

4x,4x+d,4x+2d

since the common difference d is added in 4x to form 4x+d and 4x+d to form 4x+2d

hence this is repeating in every term

therefore it is an AP.

2) Hence a,b,c are AP

a+4,b+4,c+4 is also an AP.
