If a b and c to gather can finish a piece of work in 6 days ,a alone in 12 days b in 18 days then c alone do it

days taken by a = 12 days

a's one day work = 1/12

days taken by b = 18 days

b's one day work = 1/18

let c's one day work = x

days taken by a,b and c together = 6 days

a, b and c together one day work = 1/6 = (1/12)+(1/18)+x

⇒x =(1/6)-(1/12)-(1/18)

∴x = (6-3-2)/36

    = 1/36

∵c's 1 day work = 1/36

∴c will complete the work = 36 days.
