The value of a+c is 2b.

Given:

a, b and b, c are twin primes

To find:

The value of a+c

Solution:

We know that the difference between twin primes is 2.

So, the twin primes are as follows-

a and b, b and c

On taking the difference, we get

a-b=2

a=2+b (1)

b-c=2

c=b-2 (2)

Now we will add (1) and (2),

a+c=2+b+b-2

a+c=2b

Therefore, the value of a+c is 2b.
