Answer:

9

Step-by-step explanation:

(a+b+c)^2 =(-1)^2

a^2+b^2+c^2+2(ab+bc+ac)=1

a^2+b^2+c^2+2(-4)=1

a^2+b^2+c^2=9

hey.

if a+b+c=-1 and ab+bc+ca=-4 then find the value of a^2+b^2+c^2

SOLUTION:--

given here

a+b+c=-1. .(1)

and

ab+bc+ca= -4. ....(2)

find here

a²+b²+c²=?

(a+b+c)²=a²+b²+c²+2(ab+bc(ca)

put value by (1) and (2),

we get ,

(-1)²=a²+b²+c²+2(-4)

=>a²+b²+c²= 1+8

=>++=9
