Step-by-step explanation:

A + b = c and a-b = D

A = c-b (equation 1)

A = D + b (equation 2)

From 1 and 2

C-b = D + b

2b = c-d

B = c-d /2

Given :

a+b=c ....(i)

a-b=d ....(ii)

Solution :

Subtracting eq (i) and (ii) ,

a + b = c

a – b = d

– + –

2b = c - d

2b = c – d

=> b = (c-d)/2
