Answer:The answer should be 1.

Step-by-step explanation:

As a,b, and c are in A.P. the difference between two of its term will be same .

So, b-a=c-b

b-c=a-b

As these are both equal.

When a-b will be divided by b-c the answer will be 1 only.

Given:

If a b, c are in AP

To Find:

a-b/b-c is equal to

Solution:

An arithmetic progression is a progression in which every consecutive term differs by a common difference which is denoted by d and the first term of an AP is denoted by a.

And if a, b, c are in AP then

(a-b) will be equal to negative of common difference as we have defined that common difference of an AP is equal to the difference of the 2nd term with 1st term.

So,

(a-b)=-d

and,

(b-c)=-d

As both, the values are equal then,

[tex]=\frac{a-b}{b-c} \\\\ =\frac{-d}{-d} \\\\ =1[/tex]

So the value becomes 1.

Hence, the value of  a-b/b-c is equal to 1.
