It is given that ,
a = 16 , c = 36 ,
and a , b , c are in Proportion ,
b² = ac
b² = 16 × 36
b = √ ( 16 × 36 )
= √ ( 4 × 4 ) × ( 6 × 6 )
b = 4 × 6
b = 24
