If a,b,c are three points a line such that Ac:8cm,CB:4cm and AB:12cm, which point A,B or C lies between the other two?

Answer:

Given:AB=5cm , BC=3cm and AC=8cm

∴AC=AB+BC⇒8=5+3

AC is the longest line segment, thus B is the point between A and C
