First take the largest number and divide it by the smallest. So let a = 4 and b = 1.

Then for the remaining two numbers take largest divided by smallest. So let c = 3 and d = 2.

So largest possible value = 4/1 + 3/2 = 4 + 1.5 = 5.5

Therefore the answer is c) 5.5 .
