Solution:

Given a,b,c,d and e are in continued proportion. To prove a/e=a^4/b^4

So, let a/b= b/c= c/d= d/e= k (say)

therefore, a/b=k => a= bk, b/c= k => b= ck, c/d= k => c= dk and d/e= k => d= ek.
