a:b=c:d

Product of extremes = Product of means

Here means are b and c

and extremes are a and d.

ad=bc

To prove it take an example

2:3::6:9=a:b::c:d

ad=bc

2×9=3×6

18=18

a^2+c^2/b^2+d^2=ac/bd

2×2+6×6/3×3+9×9=2×6/3×9

4+36/9+81=12/27

40/90=4/9

4/9=4/9

Hence it proved.
