If a ball is dropped from the top of a building of height 80m, how much time will it take to hit the ground? Take g = 10 m/s?​

Explanation:

height               (s) = 80m

acceleration    (a) = 10m/s^2

since object is dropped from a height,

initial velocity (u) = 0

By using 2nd eqn of motion,  s=ut+(1/2)at²,

We get,

80 = 0 x t + (1/2 x 10 x t²)

80  = 1/2 x 10 x t²

80 = 5 x t²

\frac{80}{5}   = t²

=> t² = 16

=> t   = \sqrt{16}

=> t = 4

IT WILL TAKE 4 SECONDS TO HIT THE GROUND .
