Explanation:

Given:

H = 80m

By Using formula

\boxed{\bold{\mathsf{H = \frac{u^{2}}{2g} }}}

\implies{\bold{\mathsf{ G\: is \:Taken \:as \: 10}}}m/sec

\implies

80 =  \frac{ {u}^{2} }{2g}  \\  \\ 80 \times 2 \times 10 =  {u}^{2}  \\  \\  {u}^{2}  = 1600 \\  \\ u =  \sqrt{1600}  \\  \\ u = 40 \: m {sec}^{ - 1}

Now by using formula for Time of Ascent = u/g

= 40/10

= 4 sec.

\rule{200}{1}

Time of Ascent: It is actually the time taken by body which is thrown up to reach the maximum height h is called as time of ascent.
