If a ball is thrown vertically upward with a velocity of 40m/s. Then what will be the magnitude of its displacement after 6s.

u = 40 m \: per \: s \\ v = x \:m \: per \: s \\ a \:  =  - 10m {s}^{2}  \:   \\ v = u + at \\ x = 40 + ( - 10 \times 6) \\ x = 40 - 60  =  - 20ms \\  \\ 2as  =  {v}^{2}  -  {u}^{2}  \\ 2 \times ( - 10) \times s = ( { - 20)}^{2}  - ( {40)}^{2} \\  - 20s = 400 - 1600 \\  - 20s =  - 1200 \\ s =  \frac{1200}{20}  = 60m
