if a ball is thrown vertically upwards , so it's final velocity will be 0 , acceleration would become acceleration due to gravity but since its in upward direction so acceleration will become negative , and the time range for which we have to find initial velocity of the ball is 0-10 That is, find initial velocity of ball when it's thrown upwards at every second from 0 to 10.
