Energy is leaving the gravitational field and entering the falling object as kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is the energy of motion.

WHEN , WE DROP ANY OBJECT FROM A HEIGHT OF A BUILDING THEN , FIRSTLY POSSES A KINETIC ENERGY because any object is in motion posses kinetic energy AND WHEN IT STRIKE TO GROUND KINETIC ENERGY CHANGES TO POTENTIAL ENERGY because , all rest object posses potential energy .
