if a ball that is 4 meters above the ground is thrown horizontally at 4 meters per second how long will it take for the ball to hit the ground?

now to find the final time we can use

s=ut + 1/2at²

4=0×t +1/2×10×t²

4=5t²

t= √4/5 seconds =√0.8 seconds
