if a body are situated at the 3200 km above the surface of Earth then find the value of new g at that height. [ take ge = 10 metre per second square and radius of earth equal to 6400 kilometres]

r = R+h     (total distance from the center of the earth)

gsurface = GMₑm/R²  ...(i)

gheight = GMₑm/r²    ....(ii)

Dividing both equation we get,

gsurface/gheight = GMₑm/R² x (R+h)²/GMₑm

10/gheight = (6400+3200)²/(6400)²

10/gheight = (9600)²/(6400)²

10/gheight = 92160000/40960000

10/gheight = 2.25/1

gheight = 10/2.25 = 4.44
