False, even if an object is moving on a perfectly smooth surface, frictional force will definitely act on it, as it is eventually rolling or sliding on the surface. And this helps to slow down the object.

According to newton's first law,a body doesnt needs force to keep moving.It will move ever and forever in same direction with same speed if no force it applied to stop it.Therefore,my opinion to this question is true,it doesnt require any force,only the force required is to make the body change its state(from rest to motion)
