If a body of mass 42 kg is suspended from a spring balance, what will be the force exerted on the spring balance? What is the value when it is on Jupiter (the value of g on Jupiter = 23.1 m/s) and when placed on the Moon?

The velocity of an object is the rate of change of its position with respect to a frame of reference, and is a function of time. Velocity is equivalent to a specification of an object's speed and direction of motion (e.g. 60 km/h to the north).

ok fine

Answer:

Explanation:-

1.) the force exerted on the spring balance=m*g

=42*9.8

=411.6 N

2.) if the body is placed at Jupiter, then the force exerted on the spring balance=m*g'. [g' = value of g at Jupiter]

=42*23.1

=970.2 N

3.) if the body is placed at moon, then the force exerted on the spring balance=m*g'.

[g' = g/6; accⁿ due to gravity at moon]

=42*9.8/6

=411.6/6

=68.6 N
