A ball of mass 8 kg is dropped from a height of 10 m. What is the velocity with which it strikes the ground?
Firstly, the ball is dropped, it means that the initial velocity of the ball, u = 0 m/s.
Now, a question arises, if we can use the equations of motions or not. Since the motion is uniformly accelerated motion, i.e., acceleration is constant ( a = -g = -9.8 m/s2), so, we can definitely use the equations of motion which will ease up our calculation.
