It is not gravitation brother.. it is gravitational force..The books attract each other. And now one question came in your mind ..if these books are attracting each other then will they move and if they move will they meet after sometime...?

Just imagine two books on a table. They are attracting each other . So they will not move from their places because the gravitational force is so small that the friction force balances it. In general term, the frictional force is greater than the gravitational force. So they will not be able to meet ever.
