Step-by-step explanation:

here

let it's edge be x

then volume of box = x*x*x=x^3(assuming the box as a cube)

after doubling the edge

volume = (2x) (2x) (2x) = 8x^3

here

the volume is increased by 8 times the initial volume

hope it helps ✌

Step-by-step explanation:

CONDITION GIVEN:

IF EDGES OF A BOX IS DOUBLED .

TO FIND:

HOW MANY TIMES IT'S VOLUME IS MULTIPLIED.

SOLUTION:

LET EDGE OF THE BOX BE X.

GIVEN EACH OF BOX IS DOUBLED=(2X)

NOW VOLUME=X^3.

AFTER EACH EDGE IS DOUBLED, THEN THE VOLUME WILL BE;

(2X)^3=2X×2X×2X=8X^3

HENCE VOLUME WILL BECOME 8 TIMES.
