If a boy is flying a kite at height of 20m and the length of the string is 25m then what would be tye distance between the biy and the point at the ground directly below the kite

Hey there this is solved by Pythagoras Theorm -

x^2 = 25^2 - 20^2

= 625 - 400

= 225

x = 15

The required distance is 15

applying Pythagoras theorem h^2=b^2+p^2

25^2=x^2+20^2

625=x^2+400

625-400=x^2

225=x^2

√225=x

x=15m
