time taken to cover 10 km = 10/12 hr = 5/6hr
time taken to cover 12 km = 12/10 hr = 6/5 hr
total distance travelled = 10+12km = 22km
total time taken = 6/5+5/6 hr
=61/30 hr
average speed = 22km / 61/30hr
=660/61km/hr

Total distance travelled = (10+12) km =22 km

Total time taken = (10/12) + (12/10) = (100+144)/120 = 244/120 hr = 61/30 hour

Avearge speed = (Total distance)/(Total time)

= (22)/(61/30)

= (22 ×30)/61

= (660/61) km/hr

= 10.81 km/hr

Hope it helps
