A 100g bullet with speed 10m/s moves In send , after 10 cm bullet goes to rest .
hence, final velocity = 0 m/s
now use , formula
V² = u² + 2aS
here , V = 0
U = 10 m/s
S = 10cm
a = ?
0 = (10)² + 2 × a ×10/100 [10cm =10/100 m]
-100 = 2a/10
a = -500 m/s²
hence, resistive Force = mass of bullet × acceleration of bullet
= 100g × -500 m/s²
= 100/1000 kg × -500 m/s²
= -50N
hence,
magnitude of resistive force = 50N
hence, final velocity = 0 m/s
now use , formula
V² = u² + 2aS
here , V = 0
U = 10 m/s
S = 10cm
a = ?
0 = (10)² + 2 × a ×10/100 [10cm =10/100 m]
-100 = 2a/10
a = -500 m/s²
hence, resistive Force = mass of bullet × acceleration of bullet
= 100g × -500 m/s²

= -50N
hence,
magnitude of resistive force = 50N
