Answer:

v = u + at

(Final Velocity = Initial Velocity + Acceleration* Time)

v=u+at

20=0+25a

Therefore, a= 20/25 = 0.8 m/s^2

Solution :

Given that :

(1) A bus starts from rest. Therefore the initial velocity will be 0

(2) It attains a velocity of 30m/s. It will be considered as the final velocity of the train.

(3) The bus attains the given velocity in 300 seconds which is considered as time.

As we know that :

From the first equation of velocity v = u + at, where

u = Initial velocity,

v = Final velocity,

a = Acceleration and

t = Time.

On putting the values in the equation of velocity :

v = u + at

=> 30 = 0 + a×300

=> 30 = 300a

=> a = 30/300

=> a = 1/10

=> a = 0.1

So, the acceleration will be 0.1m/s^2 or 0.1ms^-2

Therefore the correct option will be Option (C).
