Answer:

Distance travelled by the bus in 1 hour =126/3=42

Distance travelled by the train in 1 hour=315/5=63

Ratio between their speed=42:63 when divided by3

=14:21 when divided by 7

=2:3

Ans=2:3

Answer :

  • The ratio of their speeds is 2:3

Given :

  • A bus travel 126 km in 3 hours
  • A train travels 315 km in 5 hours

To find :

  • Ratio of their speeds

Solution :

Given ,

  • A bus travel 126 km in 3 hours
  • A train travel 315 km in 5 hours

As we know that ,

  • speed = Distance/Time

Speed of bus :

⟾ speed of bus = 126/3 = 42km/hr

Speed of train :

⟾ Speed of train = 315/5 = 63 km hr

Now we have to find their ratios of speed :

  • Speed of bus / speed of train

⟾ Ratios of speeds = 42/63 = 2/3 = 2:3

Hence , The ratio of their speeds is 2 : 3

More Explanation :

  • Speed = Distance/Time
  • Distance = speed × time
  • Time = Distance/speed
