Time taken by A to complete the work = 6days.

So, Work done by A in 1 day = 1/6.

Time taken by B to complete the work = 12days.

Work done by B in 1 day = 1/12.

Therefore work done by (A+ B ) in 1 day =(1/6 + 1/ 12) = 2+ 1/12 = 3/12 = 1/4.

So, Total time taken to complete the work = 1 ÷ 1/4 = 4days
