Answer:

working together, A and B can complete the whole work in 6\frac{2}{3} days

Step-by-step explanation:

A can finish a work in 12 days

∴ Each day A can complete \frac{1}{12} part of the work.

B can finish that work in 15 days

∴ Each day B can complete \frac{1}{15} part of the work.

∴ A and B working together,

each day they can complete (\frac{1}{12} + \frac{1}{15}) part of the work = \frac{5 + 4}{60} part of the work.

∴ working together, A and B can complete the whole work in \frac{60}{9} days

=6\frac{6}{9} days =6\frac{2}{3} days
