EXPLANATION

  • GIVEN

Car start from rest

therefore,

initial speed = u = 0

attend a speed of = 54 km/hr

54 X 5/18 = 15m/s

final velocity = v = 15 m/s

time = 10 seconds

TO FIND IT COVER A DISTANCE.

From newton (1st) law of kinematics

V = U + AT

put the value in equation

we get,

15 = 0 + 10a

a = 15/10

a = 3/2 m/s^2

From newton (2nd) law of kinematics

S = UT + 1/2 AT^2

put the value in equation

we get,

s = 0(10) + 1/2 X 3/2 X 10 X 10

s = 0 + 3 X 5 X 5

s = 75 m

Hence,

distance cover = 75 m
