saloo23: here initial velocity is zero,final velocity is 144 km/sec. or 40 m/sec. and time taken is 20sec. so from v=u+at we get the acceleration here is 2. thus from x(distance/displacement)=ut+1/2at2 we can find the distance that is 400m or 0.4 km
