Given:-

  • Initial velocity = 10m/s

  • Time taken = 5s

  • Distance Covered = 100m

To Find:-

  • The Accceleration of the car

Formulae used:-

  • S = ut + ½ × a × t²

Where,

  • S = Distance covered
  • u = Initial velocity
  • a = Acceleration
  • t = Time

Now,

→ s = ut + ½ × a × t²

→ 100 = 10 × 5 + ½ × a × (5)²

→ 100 = 50 + ½ × a × 25

→ 100 = 50 + ½ × 25a

→ 100/50 = ½ × 25a

→ 2 = ½ × 25a

→ 2 × 2 = 25a

→ 4 = 25a

→ a = 4/25

→ a = 0.16m/s²

Hence, The Acceleration of the car is 0.16m/.
