Given : A car is having speed 6 km at starting point of observation and 8km/h at the end with constant acceleration

To Find : Speed at midpoint

Solution:

V = U + at

V = 8 km/hr

U = 6 km/hr

acceleration = a   km/h²

V² - U² = 2aS

=> 8² - 6² = 2aS

=> S = 14/a

Distance covered = 14/a   km

Distance covered till midpoint = 7/a   km

speed at midpoint = x

x² - 6²  = 2a (7/a)

=> x² = 36  + 14

=> x² = 50

=> x = 5√2   ≈ 7.071   km/hr

speed at midpoint is  5√2   ≈ 7.071   km/hr
