Explanation:

v=u+at

20=0+10a

a=2

s=0+1/2(2)(10)²

s=100m OK friend this is urs answer

Initial Velocity (u) = 72km/h = 20m/s

Time for which breaks were applied (t) = 10sec

Retardation (a) = ?

Distance (s) = ?

Final Velocity (v) = 0m/s

.

From Equations of motion:

v = u + at

0 = 20 + 10a

10a = -20

a = -2 m/s^2 ...............(Retardation)

.

and,

s = ut - 1/2×at^2 .….......(for retarding object)

s = 20(10) - 1/2× 2 × 100

s = 200 - 100

s = 100m ..............(distance that the car travels)
