Concept

The first equation of motion

v = u+at

Where u is Initial velocity, v  is final velocity, and t is time.

Given

Initial Velocity(u) of car is 8 m/s with acceleration 2 m/s².

To find

We have to calculate the velocity after 5 seconds.

Solution

Using the first equation of motion,

v = u+at

Substitute u = 8 m/s, a = 2 m/s² and t = 5 seconds

v = 8+2(5)

v = 18 m/s.

Hence Hence, the velocity of the car after 5 seconds will be 18 m/s.
