GIVEN-

          U=0        ,V=36KM/H OR 10M/SEC        ,T=10 SEC

TO FIND - ACCERALATION

V=U+AT

10=0+AX10

10A=10

A=1 M/S²

Given:-

  • Initial velocity,u = 36 km/h

  • Final velocity,v = 108 km/h

  • Time taken,t = 10 sec

To be calculated:-

Calculate the acceleration, a .

Formula used:-

Acceleration = v - u / t

Solution:-

We should convert given velocity into proper units,

1 km = 1000 m

36 km = 36000 m

And,

1 hour = 60 × 60 seconds

= 3600 seconds

So,

Initial velocity = 36 km/h

= 36000/3600

= 10 m/s

Similarly,

1 km = 1000 m

108 km = 108000 m

And,

1 hour = 3600 seconds

So,

Final velocity = 108 km/h

= 108000/3600

= 30 m/s

Now,

Acceleration,a = v - u / t

★ Substituting the values in the above formula,we get:

Acceleration = 30 - 10 / 10

= 20 / 10

= 2 m/s²

Hence,the acceleration of a car is 2 m/s².
