sorry for the late reply this question is a little ambiguous

average speed is total distance /total time

we know the time part we need distance for which it halts

it travels 10m in 2 second doesn't say it accelerate so let's say it's moving with uniform velocity of 5m/s because speed is distance by time

then it halts or decelerate let's say it stops because it doesn't say anything in question

so let's find it's deceleration using 1 at equation

v=u+at

v =0

u=5

t=2

so a =-5/2

then using 3rd equation we get t

v2=u2+2as

we get a here as 5

now we have all the distance

average speed =10+5+20/6
