Answer:

8m/s

Explanation:

since average speed = distance traveled/ time taken

distance traveled = (5×2)+(10×3) = 40meters

time taken = 2+3 = 5seconds

average velocity = 40 /5 = 8m/s .

Answer:

The overall average speed is 8m/s

Explanation:

The total distance traveled divided by the total time passed can be used to determine an object's average speed over a given period of time and space.

In this case, the car travels 5 meters per second for 2 ( two) seconds, covering a distance of

5 x 2 = 10 meters.

In the next 3 ( three) seconds when we consider , the car travels at 10 meters per second, covering a distance of approximately

10 (meters)x 3( seconds) = 30 meters.

Now, if we see then the total distance covered by the car is 10 + 30 = 40 meters.

The total time elapsed is 2 + 3 = 5 seconds.

Therefore, the average speed for the entire journey is 40 meters / 5 seconds = 8 m/s.
