v = ut+1/2 at^2

= 0×6 +1/2×5×6×6

90m

so V = 90m

Required Velocity = 30 m/s

Given Terms:

  • A car starts from rest.
  • Car accelerates at acceleration of 5 m/s².
  • Time taken is 6 seconds.

Need To Find:

  • Velocity of car ?

Solution: If some thing starts from rest its initial velocity is taken to be 0 m/s.

=> Initial Velocity of car = 0 m/s

Let final velocity of car be v.

Now by the first equation of motion we can calculate final velocity of car as other required terms are given in question.

➥ V = u + a × t

➥ V = 0 + 5 × 6

➥ V = 0 + 30

➥ V = 30 m/s

Required velocity of car is 30 m/s.

  • v = Final velocity
  • u = Initial Velocity
  • t = time
  • a = acceleration
