ANSWER

The initial speed of the car is 2.5m/s

GIVEN

  • A car travels 50m distance in 4s with an acceleration of 5m/s²

TO FIND

  • The initial speed of car

SOLUTION

We have ,

Distance , s = 50m

acceleration , a = 5m/s²

time taken , t = 4s

We know that ,

 \tt  \dashrightarrow s = ut +  \dfrac{1}{2} at {}^{2}  \\  \\  \implies \tt 50 = u \times 4 +  \dfrac{1}{2}  \times 5 \times 4 {}^{2}  \\  \\ \tt  \implies 4u +  \dfrac{1}{2}  \times 5 \times 4  \times  4 = 50 \\  \\  \tt \implies4u + 40 = 50 \\  \\    \tt\implies4u = 50 - 40 \\  \\   \tt\implies4u = 10 \\  \\  \implies \tt u =  \dfrac{10}{4}   \\  \\ \tt \implies u =  \dfrac{5}{2}  \\  \\  \tt \implies u = 2.5

Thus , the initial speed is 2.5m/s

Answer:

Initia Velocity(u) :- 15m/s

Acceleration(a) :- 4m/s2

Time Taken(t) :- 50 Seconds

{ok a formula is there —->>> s = ut + 1/2 at2(it is ‘t’ square)….. now we will write like this and yeah don’t write this}

We Know,

s = ut + 1/2 at2

s = (15*50 + 1/2 *4*50*50)m

s= (750 + 5000)m

s = 5750 m

Therefore distance traveled is 5750 meters.
