Given:

  • A car travels 60 km in an hour.

To Find:

  • what is the speed and (1) 2 hours (2) 15 minutes (3) half an hour (4) three and a half hour.

Solution:

Here, distance of car is given 60 km and time is also given 1 hour and firstly we have to find speed.

As we know that,

\large{\sf{\fbox{\green{Speed = {\frac{Distance}{Time}}}}}}

Now,solve the question

 \:  \:  \sf \leadsto \: speed =  \frac{60}{1}  = 60 \frac{km}{hr}

Now, after finding the speed we have to find distance

(1)2 hours

As we know that,

\large{\sf{\fbox{\red{Distance = Speed ×Time}}}}

Now,solve the question

 \:  \:  \sf \red \leadsto \: distance = 60 \times 2 = 120km

Now,find the distance

(2)15 minutes

 \:  \sf \:60 \: minutes = 1 \: hour \\  \\  \:  \sf \: 15 \: minutes =  \frac{60}{15 }  \\  \\  \:  \sf \:  = 4 \: hour

 \:  \:  \sf \green \leadsto \: distance = 60 \times 4 = 240 \: km

Now,again find distance

(3)Half an hour

 \:  \:  \sf \purple  \leadsto \: distance = 60 \times  \frac{1}{2}  = 30 \: km

Now,again find distance

(4)Three and a half hour.

 \:  \:  \sf \pink \leadsto \: distance = 60 \times  \frac{13}{4}  = 195 \: km
