it can be 7:5 because the first three options dont add up to 12 after multiplying with any numbers

Answer:

The final answer is C) 3 : 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, We have a carton with 12 mirrors. The carton is dropped from which some mirrors are broken while the others remain intact. We need to find the ratio from the given answers which cannot fit the proper ration of broken to unbroken mirrors.

Firstly, We can remove 7 : 5 as it adds up to 12 and is a proper ratio, Hence 7 : 5 is not the answer.

Second we take 2 : 1 , We try to multiply the numbers in such a way that it adds up to 12. On multiplying with 4, We get the ratio 8 : 4 which adds up to 12 hence ,  2 : 1 is a proper ratio.

Thirdly, We take the ratio 3 : 1, We do the same process as above. On multiplying with 3, we get a ratio 9 : 3 which adds up to 12 hence, 3 : 1 is a   proper ratio.

Finally we take 3 : 2, This cannot be multiplied with any number such that it adds up to 12 hence 3 : 2 is the improper ratio.
